The Otto Suffolk Stud, located at Alma Park 65kms north west of Albury, NSW was founded and registered in 2001 with ewes and rams purchased from the Letts Suffolk Stud in South Australia.  Additional rams and ewes were purchased in the years that followed. 

 

Since 2008 we have been doing AI programs using semen from New Zealand Studs and in recent years Western Australian Studs as well as using our own sires.

Since 2018 we have been breeding White Suffolks which we began with ewes from Wattle Park, Baringa and Lauriadale  Studs and rams from Baringa, Rocdell, Warburn and Wattle Park. As well as an AI program from Kurralea Stud and Warburn Stud. In 2021 we purchased ewes from Warburn, Detpa Grove and Waratah White Suffolk Studs. We have also been bringing some Suffolks into our Whites with really good results.

In addition to our Suffolks we also run merinos and 1st X ewes which are producing excellent suffolk X lambs with good growth rates and ease of lambing.

Our Suffolk sires have been DNA tested and are Free of Spider Lamb Syndrome. All our sheep are Guidair vaccinated and we are Brucellosis Accredited

Our aim is to breed Suffolks with good length, depth and muscle and sheep that stand well on their feet.
