Our aim is to breed well-muscled rams with quick growth enabling producers to get their lambs away as suckers but also with the length and structure allowing them to grow their lambs out for the heavy export market.

The Otto Suffolk Stud, located at Alma Park 65kms north west of Albury, NSW was founded and registered in 2001 with ewes and rams purchased from the Letts Suffolk Stud in South Australia.  Additional rams and ewes were purchased in the years that followed. 

 

From 2008 through to the 2010's we've done AI programs using semen from New Zealand Studs and Western Australian Studs as well as using our own sires.  In 2021 we introduced Letts "Hercules" 07-7058 through AI.  Breeding a son Otto 21-1943 who we have used significantly over the last 5 years bringing great length and trueness to type.  In recent years we have also purchased Rams from Allanwood, Oberon and Cotter.

Since 2018 we have been breeding White Suffolks which we began with ewes from Wattle Park, Baringa and Lauridale  Studs and rams from Baringa, Rocdell, Warburn and Wattle Park. As well as an AI program from Kurralea Stud and Warburn Stud. In 2021 we purchased ewes from Warburn, Detpa Grove and Waratah White Suffolk Studs.  In 2025 we completed an AI program with Rams from Warburn, Somerset and Ella Matta.   As well as purchasing ewes from Detpa Grove and 3 Rams in their 2025 sale.  We have also been bringing some Suffolks into our Whites with really good results.

In addition to our Suffolks we also run merinos and 1st X ewes which are producing excellent suffolk X lambs with good growth rates and ease of lambing.

All our sheep are Guidair vaccinated and we are Brucellosis Accredited
